ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Call for abstracts

Participants are invited to submit original abstracts for oral and/or poster presentations.
Abstracts must be submitted electronically by Monday 3 June 2024 at 24h00 SAST.
Only online abstract submissions will be considered.  Please click here to submit your abstract.

The abstract should be constructed according to the following abstract guidelines and structure:

Abstract word count: 150 – 200 words including:

The title and the content should be in line with one of the Conference Strand, well fitted within the conference theme
The objectives should be formulated clearly and coherenly
The abstract should be grounded in research / scholarship
The research design (where applicable) should be clearly presented, indicative or 
The results of the research should be presented appropriately. Work in progress should be stated clearly
The conclusion of the research should be presented coherently
The proposed paper should make a meaningful contribution to scientific literature / knowledge base

Important notes
  • All abstracts will be reviewed.
  • Please note that a limited number of poster presentations will be accepted.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection by the Local Scientific Committee will be mailed to the presenting author from Friday 5 July 2024.
  • To ensure a smooth submission process, we kindly ask authors to register online at the same time as they submit their abstracts. You can pay the registration fees later if you wish. 
  • Failure by the presenting author to register and pay by Friday 19 July 2024 will imply that the abstract will neither be included in the Final Program nor be available on the mobile app/abstract book.
  • The time allotted for each oral presentation will depend on the session to which the abstract is allocated.
